3.11 Kleidungsfarben

Guten Tag!

Zum Aufwärmen machen wir unseren Tagesminiplausch und eine Wiederholung.

Wiederholung

In the previous lesson, you learned to list what you wear for some occasions, state options, and say what you wear when you are at home. Let’s review what you have learned.

Jetzt bist du dran!

In your written journal, write a sentence to describe what you wear when you are at home. Or, perhaps you recall another occasion that we discussed. After you have written your sentence, record yourself reading it aloud in your audio journal.

Lektionsüberblick

In this lesson, we will expand our conversation about clothing to talk about how frequently you wear which colors. In the end, you will be able to 1) say how often you wear which colors and 2) name some colored clothing you wear.

1) Immer – oft – manchmal – nie

Do you remember these words from before? Maybe the word oft reminds you of the similar English word. Let’s review these four little words.

Jetzt bist du dran!

Welche Farben trägst du oft? Welche Farben trägst du nie? Using the sentences in the comic above as a template, answer the questions stating what colors you wear and how often you wear them. Record the answers in your written journal.
Now record your answers in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording. Or rerecord, if you are not satisfied.

2) What colors do you wear?

Look at the example sentences below. What do you notice about how the sentences are grouped together? Do you notice any patterns?

Ich trage einen roten Pullover.

Ich trage einen blauen Rock.

Ich trage eine braune Jacke.

Ich trage eine schwarze Baseballkappe.

Ich trage ein gelbes Kleid.

Ich trage ein grünes T-Shirt.

Ich trage graue Schuhe.

Ich trage weiße Socken.

Jetzt bist du dran!

What color and item of clothing do you wear? Write a sentence to express this using the sentences above as a template.
Then record yourself saying your sentence aloud in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording.

Zum Schluß

In this lesson, you learned how to 1) say how often you wear which colors and 2) name some colored clothing you wear. If you are feeling unsure about any part of the expanded introduction, go back to that section and review.
Now write out again your sentence about how often you wear a color and your sentence about a colored item of clothing that you wear. Then record yourself in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording. Or rerecord, if you are not satisfied.
