In first year German, you learn how to say where you live (Ich wohne in Laramie.) Now you will learn how to talk more expansively about dein Zuhause (your place of residence) in more detail. By the end of this Thema, you will be able to answer these questions in German. Are you in the city, suburbs, or in the country? Are you in the dorms, an apartment, or a house? Do you live alone or with roommates/flatmates? How many rooms are in your living space? How are they furnished? How far away are your local amenities and how do you get there? What should your next apartment look like?

1. learn words that point to absolute locations
2.  talk about apartment and room floor plans and features more specifically
3. learn words that point to relational locations.

You will demonstrate how well you have achieved the learning objectives with your Themenprojekt: Meine Wohnung. You will write or verbally present a description of your current living space.
