VAPR-Voice (Variability in Auditory Perceptual Ratings of Voice) Version 1.1
This training module is designed to allow graduate students and clinicians in speech language pathology to learn and practice auditory perceptual ratings of voice using features found on the CAPE-V assessment. The basis of this training module is to provide trainees with a sense of the acceptable variability in auditory-perceptual ratings based on data from expert raters. Therefore, practice samples include information about rater variability as reported in the dataset by Walden (2022).
Sound files and the accompanying expert ratings are reported from publicly available data published by Walden, P.R. (2022). Perceptual Voice Qualities Database (PVQD): Database Characteristics. Journal of Voice 36(6), 875-e15.
Compiled by Zoe Kriegel, Ph.D. with support from graduate assistants at the University of Wyoming
