  • MO 4.1 Compare and contrast the continuum of normotension, prehypertension, hypertension, and hypertensive crisis.
  • MO 4.2 Correlate the pathophysiology of hypertension to complications in target organs.
  • MO 4.3 Discuss the organs, hormonal pathways, and systems that regulate blood pressure.
  • MO 4.4 Relate the pathophysiology of hypertension to the medication classes used to treat the condition.
  • MO 4.5 Educate the client regarding possible drug interactions, side effects, and adverse effects of hypertensive medications and when to call the healthcare provider.
