Learning Objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • MO14.1: Analyze the pathophysiology and pharmacological management of musculoskeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, to guide safe medication administration practices. (CO 1 & 5)
  • MO14.2: Compare and contrast the mechanisms of action, therapeutic effects, and safety considerations of pain medications and anti-emetics in clinical practice. (CO 2)
  • MO14.3: Evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of psychopharmacological agents, including antidepressants and antipsychotics, for patients with mental health disorders and substance use disorders. (CO 2)
  • MO14.4: Apply clinical reasoning and safety principles when prioritizing patient care and administering medications across multiple patient populations in long-term care settings. (CO 3 & 4)
