6. Themenprojekt

Goal: For Thema 6, you will give a presentation on Meine Lieblingsmahlzeit and write about Mein Lieblingsrestaurant.

Themenprojekt: Meine Lieblingsmahlzeit

Preparation: To prepare for this Themenprojekt: Meine Lieblingsmahlzeit, you should make sure that you have completed Lektionen (lessons) 6.1-6.13 in Deutsch im Alltag.

Instructions:

1) You will talk about your favorite meal.

If you want to challenge yourself, write down as many German words and phrases from these categories that you can remember without review.

Be sure to use the modeled language in our book and/or your notes from your written journal. You will be the most successful, if you do not work on this with the English part of your brain. Stay in your German mindset, envision your German persona.

2) Using the modeled language, go through your writing and make any necessary improvements.

You will present in class (check Canvas for date). Practice reading your presentation. Your presentation should be “freely spoken”. That means it should sound like a rehearsed (but not necessarily memorized) speech, because it should be! You may look at your text while presenting, but you should be so familiar with it that you are able to look at your audience most of the time.

3) You should show pictures of your Lieblingsmahlzeit.

4) Submit the text for your presentation here.

5) Print it out and bring your text to class. Bring your pictures, if you have them, in either printed or electronic versions to class.

1) Do pre-writing activities in Schreiben Lernen.

If you want to challenge yourself, write down as many German words and phrases from these categories that you can remember without review.

Then go to pages 104-107  in Schreiben Lernen and work through each of the Übungen (activities).

2) Write a simple review of your favorite restaurant using the modeled language in Schreiben Lernen.

Following the pre-writing activities, write your review.
