4.9 Was ich am liebsten mache – Online-Hobbys

Hallo alle zusammen.

Zum Aufwärmen machen wir unseren Tagesminiplausch und eine Wiederholung.

Wiederholung

In the previous lesson, you learned how to express the sports you prefer playing and watching, as well as how to inquire about the sports others play. Let’s review.

Jetzt bist du dran!

How do you ask, if someone likes to play sports? Write that down in your written journal. How do you express a preference between two things or two activities? Write key words or an entire sentence to express a preference that you have referring to playing or watching sports.

In the end, you will be able to 1) name some online hobbies, 2) ask what someone’s favorite hobbies are, and 3) state which online hobbies you like the best.

Medien produzieren

Bist du Content Creator oder Blogger? Maybe you do it for fun or for money, or maybe you don’t do anything on social media but would like to know the words and phrases that are important in that world. Read and listen.

Medien konsummieren

Hast du Online-Hobbys? Welche? Do you have online hobbies? Read and listen to the hobbies above and write down any of the sentences in your written journal that are true to you.

2) Was machst du am liebsten? Was sind deine Lieblingshobbys?

Let’s continue to build a set of questions we can ask others to get to know them better. Listen to the questions below and repeat:

Let’s practice these questions.

Jetzt bist du dran!

In your written journal write down the questions that you just learned.
Then record yourself saying the question aloud in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording. Or rerecord, if you are not satisfied.

3) Was ich am liebsten mache…

Ich programmiere am liebsten.
Ich mache am liebsten Content-Creation.
Mein Lieblingshobby ist Podcasts hören.

Let’s practice talking about favorite online hobbies.

Jetzt bist du dran!

Was ist dein Lieblingshobby? In your written journal express your favorite hobby in a complete sentence like the examples above. You may write about an online hobby or another hobby of your choosing.
Then record yourself in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording. Or rerecord, if you are not satisfied.

Zum Schluß

In this lesson, you learned to 1) name some online hobbies, 2) ask what someone’s favorite hobbies are, and 3) state which online hobbies you like the best. If you are feeling unsure about any part of the expanded introduction, go back to that section and review.
Imagine you are on your exchange semester to Germany and have met someone who could become a friend. You start talking about hobbies. You each say which online hobbies you like to do and what your online favorite hobby is. Use the language modeled in this lesson to help you write a dialogue about your preferences.
Then record your dialogue in your audio journal. If you can do it immediately without reading, that’s great! Otherwise, practice saying it a couple times before recording. Or rerecord, if you are not satisfied. Alternatively, meet with a classmate and record together!
