4.6 Wann und wo ist der Spaß?

Guten Tag!

Zum Aufwärmen machen wir unseren Tagesminiplausch und eine Wiederholung.

Wiederholung

In the previous lesson, you learned how to say things you like doing with friends and how to say what you want to do. Let’s review what you have learned.

Now let’s review the use of will.

Jetzt bist du dran!

What do you like to do with your friends? Or, what do you want to do? Write a sentence in your journal using the models above as templates.

Lektionsüberblick

With our previous lesson, we continued learning how to make plans with friends. We can now ask and answer “Was wollen wir machen?” In this lesson, we will learn how to ask and answer “Wann treffen wir uns?” (When will we meet?) and “Wo treffen wir uns?” (Where will we meet?) In the end, you will be able to make plans with friends by being able to 1) ask about meeting times and respond and 2) ask about meeting locations and respond.

Was weißt du schon?

Let’s see how comfortable you feel about the vocabulary around times and places for meeting.

Noch nicht start klar?

Du kannst immer auf die gleiche 1010-Lektion zurückgreifen!

Not confident about starting this lesson?

You can always review the same Lektion from 1010.

1) Wann treffen wir uns?

Read, listen, and repeat the short dialog below.

Here are some other possible responses.

Let’s practice.

Jetzt bist du dran!

Wann treffen wir uns? Choose a time from above that usually works for you to meet up with a friend. In a complete sentence write when you are meeting your friend based on this info (Wir treffen uns…). Now expand the sentence by adding an option (remember the word oder).
Record this sentence in your audio journal. Practice saying the phrases a couple times before recording.

2) Wo treffen wir uns? – Naming meeting locations

Read, listen, and repeat the short dialog below.

Let’s practice.

Jetzt bist du dran!

Wo triffst du deine Freunde? Where do you meet your friends? Choose two of the locations above and write complete sentences.

Zum Schluß

In this lesson, you learned how to to 1) ask about meeting times and respond and 2) ask about meeting locations and respond. If you are feeling unsure about any part, go back to that section and review.
Now let’s put it all together by creating a short dialog between you and a study partner. Arrange a day and time to meet in the dialog. Refer to the questions and statements modeled above. If you can find a partner to read your dialog with aloud, taking turns playing each part.
